The War Canyon, Clan Alpine Spring Fencing Project was completed on Saturday August 23, 1997. Volunteers fenced two springs on BLM lands in War Canyon.

The purpose of the fencing was to keep wild horses and livestock from further damaging the springs and to give wildlife a clean watering hole.

Gene Morris of the BLM, shown crouched at the far left, provided the expertise and materials.  Poor Gene wore out the sole of his boot by walking so many miles around the fence project to insure that we all kept busy.  Well, not true, but Gene did lose his boot sole on the project.  We had an excellent crew of quick learners, in good spirts the whole day and all were ready to take on another project soon.
