Volunteering is a great way to meet people and make things happen that are important to you. If you care about the future of Nevada's natural resources, then get involved with NvWF projects. | Schoolyard Habitat™ Program Volunteer | Help support Nevada Wildlife Federation's implementation of National Wildlife Federation's Schoolyard Habitat ™ program. This program helps provide outdoor classrooms to schools across the state. Time required could be anywhere from a few hours to a few years, depending on your interest and availability. | Volunteer Coordinator | One or two people are needed to coordinate all of the volunteers based on their interest and availability. This is a start-up position. | Letter Writing | Short on time, but want to help? Letter writing is an important and easy way to ensure citizens are heard on matters dealing with wildlife and wildlife habitat. Depending on the topic, letters may be written to state legislators, Nevada's congressional delegation, state or federal agencies. | Write and edit newsletter articles | Write one or more articles for the NvWF newsletter, Nevada Wildlife. Topics can be anything dealing with wildlife, wildlife habitat, or related environmental issues. Volunteers with good editing skills also are needed. | Desktop publishing | Volunteer needed to produce and edit quarterly newsletter and other public education materials. Volunteers should have access to a computer and desktop publishing software.

| Newsletter and public education mailings | Help prepare the newsletter and other public education materials for mailing. This involves folding letters, stuffing envelopes and placing labels. This is an easy but important way to contribute to wildlife conservation in Nevada, meet new friends and keep down production costs. | Membership Chair | Volunteer will be responsible for updating membership list on a regular basis. Candidate should have good computer skills and access to a computer with a spreadsheet program.
