From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., more than 40 fine artists throughout the
Great Basin will unite in defense of Mother Earth to exhibit and
sell works themed on Walker Lake's threatened fragile
ecosystem. Twenty percent of all sales proceeds will be donated
to preserve the Lake's water supply. Art mediums such as
sculpture, painting, photography, ceramics, fabrics, basket
weaving, live music and traditional Native American songs and
legends will be featured. Exhibits will be in various locations
and communities around Walker Lake including Hawthorne,
Walker Lake and Schurz.For more information, please call the Mineral County Chamber of
